Frequently Asked Questions
I follow a vegan, mostly plant-based, diet. Over several years, I slowly cut pork, beef, chicken, seafood, dairy, and eggs from my diet. In terms of exercise, I complete one of my at home workouts 5 to 6 days per week. Occasionally I participate in group exercise classes to challenge my body and find inspiration. For more information about my journey, please send any followup questions to askwomanly@gmail.com.
Everybody started somewhere! Don't let knowing nothing or very little about nutrition, exercise, mental health, or all three stop you from trying. The more you learn, the more you know, the more equipped you are to take control of your health. There's nothing wrong with starting slow! You know yourself better than anyone else. GO AT YOUR OWN PACE. Set goals that can be realistically maintained over time. SOME progress is better than NO progress. And if you misjudge and a goal ends up being harder to meet than you thought, no worries!...tweak the goal to make it more attainable and get right back to it. You got this! No! I'm very open about the fact that I'm not certified. I'm someone that's mastered what works for me and wants to share it with those who want to try it out. Thanks to my advanced body awareness from 18 years of dance training, knowledge of mental health, research capabilities, and willingness to start over a million times, I've developed a routine that's fun, confidence-boosting, and optimal for my health.
